Resources for Voters with Disabilities

Only 55.9% of all eligible voters with disabilities voted in the 2016 election and the National Council on Learning Disabilities (NCLD) wants to change that. Inaccessible voting locations, confusing ballots, and outdated voting machines pose numerous challenges to all voters with disabilities. At NCLD, we know that voters with learning disabilities and attention issues have valuable voices and should never face barriers to civic participation. Voters with learning disabilities need time to prepare and research issues and candidates, and they need time to register and carry out their voting rights.

Our Time, Our Vote is a nonpartisan effort aimed at increasing voter participation by making voting accessible for all.
